It started from a phone call from the wine maker at Hanging Rock Winery in late 1994 for an urgent repair on a small wine press membrane that had burst in the middle of the current crushing season. They were aware we had plastic welders and made PVC truck tarps and thought fabrics in tarps and membranes were similar. We agreed to repair it if possible.
The company was approached almost weekly by a person with ideas or an inventor about making a new product. If it was welding, Max Bartlett was involved and would work out a way. Products ‘evolved’ and there was not necessarily a real structure or framework, the ‘boy’s would make it work.
